Responsibilities: Use data center and platform technology experience and expertise to build credibility with clients, vendors, and engagement teams. Articulate and present platform architecture strategies, technical architecture design (high level and detail design), and deployment planning approaches. Develop client deliverables required to finalize a technical product solution. Examples include: Solution Business Case Development Migration approach and workplan Discovery of sw/hw infrastructure inventory and application mapping Identify and compare multiple vendor offerings for technical solution and provide product points of view. Detailed design doc specifications for hardware/software Operational readiness and Integration of solution into existing client architecture including architecture fit High availability architecture design (ex: DC hot/hot, server FO, storage redundancy) Backup and restore architecture Conduct assessments and develop business case deliverables aimed at achieving cost savings opportunities through the alignment of contractual, commercial, and technical disciplines. Cost savings opportunities are supported by thorough TCO analytics, software licensing model analytics, comparative analytics, and design alternatives. Present these deliverables to clients with an agnostic and independent PoV and in support of the IT Spend Management program. Lead and assist the engagement team in the sizing, detail configuration, and implementation of hardware and software that meet the requirements of the technical architecture design. Work and multi-task in a multi-account technical execution program Sales relationship building with clients, vendors, and engagement teams Execution and achievement of goals and financial metrics within assigned accounts. Mentoring of junior team members Promotion of capability within assigned accounts Requirements: Minimum of Bachelor's Degree Travel Requirement of 60% Minimum of 5 years infrastructure architecture experience with IBM, HP, EMC and SUN server/storage product lines. Experience in developing infrastructure design in large complex IT environments including the following design aspects: infra. virtualization, high availability, business continuity/disaster recovery, data replication, SLA management, data center operations and monitoring (ITIL) techniques. Minimum of 3 years experience in 1 of the 2 areas: Software application architecture and software system design and implementation. Architectures to include the following: SOA/Java/J2EE systems - IBM Websphere products including MQ, Message Broker, DataPower, Process/Portal server WebSphere TX or Oracle/BEA family of products including WebLogic, ESB, AcquaLogic or TIBCO (EMS , BW), Software AG including WebMethods B2B gateway. SAP or Oracle ERP system design/sizing including experience in design and deploying large scale ERP systems and experience with infrastructure sizing and design of ERP systems. Preferred Skills: Combination of broad and deep infrastructure technology product knowledge Demonstrated ability to work with technology vendors skills Demonstrated multi-client account management and execution Ability to engage and work with broad range of customer and engagement team levels and roles ( IT Directors, IT Architects, IT Engineers, Data Center Operations, and IT Procurement groups, internal company executives) Development of professional high quality deliverables Recognized technology expert Demonstrated client and customer sales relationship Experience in working with and presenting deliverables to senior client IT executives (including CIO, VP, Sr. Director) aimed at driving client actions and engagement.
