The Manufacturing BA in IT interacts regularly & directly with manufacturing, planning, & procurement business functions. The analyst designs, implements, & maintains business systems that support these business functions & associated processes. Major Duties and Responsibilities:Has in-depth functional knowledge of Oracle 11.5.10 modules ASCP & WIP. Works closely with those in the manufacturing, planning, & procurement that use business systems to provide day to day support for business needs.Liaise with various business groups in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved business process requirements for all IT-related business & operations systems critical to core organizational functions. Provide research, analysis & problem resolution; including creating & monitoring of service requests with Oracle support and Corporate IT shared services.Research Oracle documentation, configure applications & interpret functionality for business users.Support the end-user community by providing second tier application & training support as required. Negotiate technical & non-technical solutions that both satisfy the business user & conform to the technical architecture. Document & communicate changes throughout the user organization, supporting change management and compliance. Perform other job related duties as assigned.Job Requirements:5 or more years of experience in IT or a related business function working with related systems. 2 or more years of experience using or supporting the Oracle Ebusiness Suite functionality relating to manufacturing or planning in a manufacturing company.Experience with & knowledge of business processes in manufacturing & planning. Must have demonstrated success in a team environment serving an end user community.Must be able to document user requirements, & independently test issues in the Oracle Applications to re-create applications issues, or determine whether new user requirements can be met through existing application functionality, or whether customizations may be req.Must have the ability to independently test functionality in Oracle after the application of patches, critical performance updates & upgrades.Must be able to accurately document functional & technical specifications for application customizations, & submit to third party developers for time & cost estimates.Assist with the testing & implementation of interfaces and/or additional Oracle modules.Demonstrates strong verbal & written communication skills regarding functional & technical topics.Demonstrate full knowledge of Systems Life Cycle development methodologiesMust have a strong understanding of database concepts such as schemas, tables, & views as well as experience in developing SQL queries.Must be able to create and maintain end user training documentation, & provide training for end-users as needs arise.Experience with a web based database query & reporting tool such as Noetix Web query, Oracle Discoverer, or an equivalent tool is a plus.Experience as a member of a team performing an Oracle Manufacturing implementation is a plus.
