One of SGA's major financial clients is seeking a Technical Production Support for a contract position in Chicago, IL. As Production Support, you will troubleshoot problems that involve timeliness of service. Communicate technical and non-technical information and understand when to escalate system/operational issues. Provide effective production support including accurate problem identification, ticket documentation and internal customer/vendor communication. Resolve system issues on own and/or collaborates with IT team members. Support tactical and strategic goals of the IT Production Support team and our internal customer (Operations). Possess ability to prioritize key tasks by defining short and intermediate-term solutions. Ensure compliance with structured Project Delivery Process. Must be Flexible to work evening shift, overtime and weekends as required.
Qualifications:

Basic and/or intermediate level knowledge and/or work experience in Windows 2003 environment and SQL 2005 database
Visual Basic skill and experience
Basic run docs, procedural docs, and technical docs are reviewed, understood and assimilated so that a base level of understanding for the functional area is assured
Four-year professional degree or two-year technical degree preferred where applicable, and/or 2-5 years technical experience in providing production support
Excellent written and oral communication skills to include solid experience in communication with internal/external customers and vendors
Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Prepare and analyze management reports using Excel & PowerPoint)
Flexibility to work various shifts, overtime and weekends as requested
