We are currently looking for an experienced Visual Basic 6/Oracle 8 Application Development Analyst.
Location: 300 South Riverside Plaza-Chicago
Duration: 4 months
Scope of Work:
Application development analyst consultant with experience with client/server high-transaction volume applications. Skilled with developing client/server applications using Visual Basic 6 with Oracle 8 back-end. Able to perform PL/SQL programming using TOAD or other Oracle database tools and utilities to determine discrepancies and referential integrity issues caused by the application during real time production processing. Able to work days, nights and some weekends providing production support to operations onsite or oncall. A team player willing to do what it takes to get the job done. Experience: Please be aware that placement for this position would depend on candidate's successful completion of a complete background check.
Required Skills:
10+ years Visual Basic 6
8+ years Oracle 8 on Unix or better
8+ years Oracle PL/SQL
5+ years TOAD
5+ years Microsoft SourceSafe
Java is a plus
Unix Korn scripts is a plus
Client/Server applications with high-transaction volume development experience
Able to maintain source code and troubleshoot defects with fixes under tight deadlines and high-pressure situations
Able to work with customer/business on production support issues onsite and oncall days, nights and some weekends
Good communications both verbal, written
