The candidate needs to work independently and have the requisite UNIX troubleshooting skills to solve technical issues on an on-going basis. Ability to create new server builds and troubleshoot server issues is critical. Qualifications: - 8+ years experience with Solaris (through version 10 preferred), and in-depth Veritas skills sets- Foundation Manager (ver 4.x), VVR (4.x, VCS (4.x). - Experience with LINUX (Red Hat AS/ES 4.x and SUSE SLES9). - Understanding of kickstarting LINUX servers is essential. - Understanding and working in a PH-UX cluster environment is necessary. - Excellent project management and communications skills are essential. - Strong day-to-day experience in UNIX skill sets of NFS/NIS/DNS required. - Proficiency in Perl and shell scripting is essential. - Network troubleshooting skills are plus. - Additional proficiency in AIX (5.x) and IBM Websphere (5.0) are pluses. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related preferred; Master's degree advantageous.
