The project team is currently delivering solutions that leverage front-office professionals and create straight-through processing efficiency. This individual will be responsible for developing software that will support the business processes described and manage project timelines and deliverables. This candidate must be able to interact with end-users and team members providing, in a time-sensitive environment, solutions that integrate efficiently with the overall infrastructure. This senior position will be responsible for contributing to the strategic architecture necessary to provide cohesive solutions in a rapid, consistent manner. RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop software to support the fixed income business. Work with end-users to define requirements and deliver solutions. Work in a structured environment to develop products using standard software. engineering practices. Document products for end-user consumption and maintenance efficiency. Guide and mentor other developers for project work. QA the work of other team members. Analyze requirements to create highly usable and efficient solutions. REQUIRED SKILLS: Working experience developing solutions to significant projects. Work independently with demonstrated attention to detail. Hard working, self-motivated and assertive. Excellent analytical skills Excellent software engineering skills (QA, ACM, SCCS, Deployment) Strong communication skills (verbal/written) Solid technical background. History of projects requiring application and system integration. 5+ years experience in JAVA and ECLIPSE Experience in C# or other development languages Experience in Crystal Reports, Business Objects, or other reporting tools Knowledge of web application frameworks and architectures (JSF, Struts, Spring). User interface skills in web and desktop technologies (Swing, SWT) DBMS skills - designing, organizing and consuming.
