HIGH-LEVEL JOB DUTIES:
- Implement a maintainable license tracking & planning process for the division
- Coordinate all software maintenance & deployment functions
- Generate a reporting, auditing and reconciliation methodology for all supported software
- Identify requirements & work with technical resources/teams to develop scripts for gathering & verifying software deployment information across all relevant platforms (unix, linux, MS, etc...)
- Implement a standard and trackable software request and cleanup process
- Work with vendors to determine deployment guidelines
- Perform quote/invoice/PO management review & reconciliation
- Document and train team members on procedures/tools
- Leverage existing tools/implement new tools to address licensing & software management
- Ensure alignment with enterprise procurement practices and initiatives
- Engage with tech services and PMO teams to as needed

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
The ideal candidate would have experience in implementing/managing software licensing, maintenance and deployment in a technical environment. The candidate must have at least 2-3 years of experience in technology and must be a proven self-starter. He/she should also be able to manage multiple tasks concurrently and work well in a fast paced and team oriented environment.

Job Duties: Manage a project portfolio of approximately $2MM consisting of multiple, sometimes complex, application development, buy and integrate, and enhancement projects. Plan and coordinate project activities with customers, other development teams and with business areas and IS support areas. Provide regular updates and standard project metrics.

Coordinate system changes across multiple platforms. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans. Negotiate project scope, deliverables, and schedule. Ensure that projects are delivered utilizing current methodologies and project management discipline best practices. Ensure projects follow technical and discipline standards, documentation and implementation procedures. Ensure solutions delivered are of high quality and meet functional and performance requirements.

Experience:

Cisco Certified CCNP

Subject matter expert, data network engineer, with in-depth knowledge of CISCO Routers, switches, including CISCO IOS. Strong experience with routing protocols and LAN/WAN design, EIGRP, BGP Core Routing. Ethernet, Frame Relay, TCP/IP, ISDN, PRI, BRI, VoIP,B2B VPN, and Wireless. Proficient in Network Sniffer and Cisco CCNP certified preferred. Transmission SCADA experience desireable. This position requires both technology strategy and hands-on-engineering including the comparative research and analysis of multiple solutions, the development of detailed statements of work and presentations, and direct involvement with engineering and oversight of data network projects and change management confines. The network engineer will ensure technical feasibility of each proposed solution, conduct testing, along with specifying hardware, necessary to deliver and support the proposed solution including writing detailed procedures for implementing designs. This position will interface extensively with the Network Operations group/team including providing technical counsel, insight, and support, on all proposed solutions.
