Level 2 Help Desk Support

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to provide Level 2 Desktop Support for one of the most successful companies in the Chicagoland area.

This person will be responsible for:

Installation, configuration, upgrading and repair of all PCs, printers, and other peripherals.
Identifying and solving user issues with hardware and software applications.
Analyzing, troubleshooting, resolving, and tracking a variety of technical problems.
Ensuring timely process through which problems are controlled.
Provide training for less experienced personnel.
Creating user accounts / set permissions on file directories.
Providing limited user assistance on efficient use of business application software.
Adding, changing, deleting or reseting user access to business applications and systems.
Preparing detailed, accurate, and timely support documentation where required, including trouble tickets.
Preparing and distributing written communication to user community to advise of problems or changes related to systems and availability.
Providing on-call/off hours support on a rotating basis.


Experience: Excellent customer service skills.
Knowledge of PC troubleshooting protocols and methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of the Intel PC hardware and workstation, printer components along with Windows 2000/XP PC operating systems, Microsoft Office 2000/
2002, HP Service Desk.
Knowledge of communications connectivity schemes and protocols including TCP/IP.


Additional Skills Desired:
MCSE Preferred
Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
