Smartsource is seeking a data analyst who has extensive experience working with SQL to aid our effort in the areas of business intelligence and data quality for our globally distributed applications environment. This person must be an extremely detail oriented self-starter and have the skills necessary to drive our data quality tasks. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented individual who likes and understands how to work with data in transactional and data warehouse environments.



Requirements

Mandatory Working Experience

Responsibilities

· Ensure that data contained in firm-wide enterprise applications is accurate and used consistently

· Perform SQL-based analysis on existing data, identifying root causes for data inaccuracies, through the use of database query tools

· Perform data analysis on non-SQL-based third party data sources such as Microsoft Business Solutions Navision and Geac MPC using Excel or other tools

· Assign criticality of discovered inaccuracies

· Implement auditing/control and notification processes to proactively identify and resolve data quality issues

· Respond to potential data errors and drive them to a resolution

· Perform assignments without the need to have a lot of guidance

· Recognize when assistance is needed and seek it out

· Develop recommendations on how the business can constantly improve its data quality

· Collaborate with the application development team, the QA team, and the data quality group during testing and rollout cycles

· Review regular data warehouse loads for accuracy

· Thoroughly understand all data models of our application environment

· Understand our network and database server infrastructure

· Perform ad-hoc queries upon request

    The Knowledge Management ( KM ) Senior Associate works in a centralized team to build Communities of Practice ( COPs ) within the KM organization in the United States The Senior Associate assists with the efforts in building and creating the methodology necessary for creating and operating COPs in the firm.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Knowledge Management ( KM ) Senior Associate works in a centralized team to build Communities of Practice ( COPs ) within the KM organization in the United States The Senior Associate assists with the efforts in building and creating the methodology necessary for creating and operating COPs in the firm.     -Develop and revise deliverables associated with the design, development and management of the process for formalizing the COP organizational structure, COP building and creation processes, COP operational processes across the firm, and lead the process for change in this area.

    -Deliver an overall COP Organization plan and a COP methodology with supporting tools for creating and operating COPs. This methodology will be used by all COPs that want to have a presence on the firmwide KM system.

    -Implement COP Building Methodology Work with SIG knowledge managers throughout the process of planning, designing, developing, deploying and operating their COPs. The implementation might be achieved working with several communities at one time, or on an individual basis.

    -Work with SIG knowledge managers to address any issues, bugs, new technical needs, etc. in future iterations of the technologies that are used for the KM system.

    -Estimate time requirements for all tasks and create project work plans.

    -Track progress against work plans and adjusts plans accordingly.

    . Building componentized architectures that are scalable, highly available and operate successfully in a global 24 hour trading environment.


    Experience: Candidates will be working in a Derivatives trading environment. Differentiators can include experience and proficiency in:

    . Derivatives Business processes, including Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office

    . Derivatives instruments and their use, including products used to hedge

    . Derivatives market data and the vendors of same

    . Derivatives modeling and analytics
