Sr. IT Compliance Analyst - SOX in Chicago, IL
Our Chicago-land area client currently seeks a Sr. IT Compliance Analyst - SOX. This is a LONG-TERM CONTRACT engagement.Job Description:The Client's IT Compliance team is responsible for ensuring compliance with both regulatory and company based IT Security policies. IT Compliance monitors and maintains an awareness of state, federal, and company established IT Security regulations/policies by working with internal representatives to identify and resolves areas of non-compliance. The team creates an appropriate level of awareness for these regulations/policies, and developing and publishing the necessary policies to support specific areas of compliance.Required Skills:Responsible for working on a project basis to address Client's compliance as mandated by HIPAA Security, Sarbanes Oxley, as well as any new regulatory and/or company established requirements. Work with IT areas and appropriate business owners to ensure new and existing applications comply with governmental regulations and security policies. Evaluate and provide recommendations to the IT development teams on how to address areas of non-compliance. Represents the IT Compliance team on potential acquisition opportunities by performing a risk assessment and/or business impact analyses. Assists in developing company IT policies and procedures. Maintains an awareness of developments in the compliance and data security fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practices. Will work directly with management under limited supervision and may supervise team members on a project basis.Qualifications:- Professional, team-oriented, self-motivated individual. - Strong project management skills.- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. - Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.- Ability to work on multiple assignments. - Knowledge of HIPAA Security, and Sarbanes Oxley regulations. - Knowledge and/or experience with TCP/IP, networking, firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, and systems security fundamentals.- General knowledge of Unix, Windows NT/2000/XP, systems. - Knowledge of auditing principles. - Professional experience performing risk assessments and business impact analysis and compliance auditing preferred. - Some experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
