The project is the installation of an upgrade of the Eagle investment accounting platform.

Besides standard BPA skills (See Below) the ideal candidate would have knowledge or expertise in one or many of the following areas:

- In Depth knowledge of an investment accounting platform. Specific Knowledge of Eagle Star accounting version 6.0 or greater a plus.
- Knowledge of Equity trade processing and settlements, both domestically and internationally
- Fixed income trade and accrual processing related to a variety of securities including Mortgage Backed, Asset Backed, TBA's. Muni's
- Familiarity with Domestic and International Income and Corporate Action processing, Voluntary elections, custodian postings, DTC processing etc.
- Understanding of futures processing, Mark to Market processing/Variation Margin Processing
- Reconciliation and familiarity with a reconciliation tool such as SSR or TLM or other reconciliation processing.
- Familiarity with trading platforms and Portfolio Management optimization tools including Charles River.


Summary Of General BPA skills and Duties

Analyzes operations procedures, processes, and problems to identify areas for automation or improved workflow. Reviews workflow to evaluate effectiveness and proposes system changes to improve productivity. Interacts with staff in analyzing existing operational procedures and interpreting how client needs can be better met.

Major Duties:

1. Reviews existing procedures, processes,
and problems and recommends where automation
or improved processes can be implemented.

2. Investigates and identifies root causes of errors.
Re-engineers processes to ensure that client needs
are met and efficient processes are in place.

3. Interacts with staff in systems and operations
to formulate and implement solutions to improve
processing.

4. Determines business requirements. Prepares
feasibility and cost effectiveness proposals.

5. Creates and writes procedures for manual
workflow or system changes for the work area.

6. Writes proposals for system
changes/enhancements. Implements new
efficiencies to improve accuracy and
timeliness and reduce costs.

7. Evaluates effectiveness of new system changes;
coordinates testing of new systems and system
modifications.

8. Coordinates work station set up, selecting
appropriate technology.

9. Instructs staff on new system procedures.

10. Provides technical support for system
exception processing for staff in an area.

Experience Required
3-5 years related work experience in financial industry operations or systems

Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of system capabilities, usually obtained through formal training or experience with PC or mainframe applications, is required to assess automation possibilities. Advanced analytical skills, usually through experience in related jobs or through formal training in system analysis, is required to redesign processes. Knowledge of financial industry including investment and accounting, usually obtained by experience in several related areas, is required to design process improvements.
