The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for leading efforts to deliver large, complex projects on time and within the established estimate. They may also serve as "leads" on large client accounts, working with the Account Management team to nurture client relationships and traffic project work across larger teams of multiple Project Mangers. The Sr. Project Manager has excellent documentation experience and superior technical knowledge, and is both internally team-focused and externally client-facing as required. Sr. Project Managers may be responsible for supervising Project Coordinators and/or Project Managers, and may assist in trafficking project work and managing resource assignments.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:
Collaborates with the project team to identify strategies and solutions that will best meet the client's needs within established constraint
Works with account team as well as any and all members of assigned project team to estimate costs and timing for tasks such as project strategy, functional design, visual design, technology requirements, etc., utilizing established estimating process and tools
Actively participates in all project activities, collaborating on the content and presentation of key client deliverables as required to ensure relevancy, strategy, quality and timelines
Responsible for managing project financial lifecycle, including estimates, status reporting, revenue forecasts, invoicing, etc
Creates and maintains project documentation such as estimates, project plans, proposals, statements of work, status reports (internal and external), change requests, functional specifications, etc.
Sets the standards for project work
Accountable for flawless execution in own work and that of direct reports; pushes for same with project team members
Identifies and recommends opportunities to improve work processes
Requirements
Minimum 4 years experience as a Technical Project Manager, website development a plus.
BA Degree, PMP a plus
Must have delivered projects using SDLC methodology
Must be able to work in a fast-pace environment accommodating and reporting on the impacts from changing technical requirements.
