Manage processes related to the development, delivery and support of LTD's reporting solutions with SAP BW/BI as the reporting foundationProvide SAP BW/BI technical expertise during blueprint, design, configuration, testing and implementation project phasesCreate and maintain data objects for all BW/BI reporting structures including but not limited to ODS objects, InfoObjects, InfoCubes, and InfoProvidersEnsure the timely delivery of solutions that provide critical business information in the most efficient and effective mannerResolve data integrity issues within SAP BI and ECC environmentsMonitor production data loads, updates and extracts as neededReview and participate in the testing of data conversions from SAP ECC, external data providers and legacy applications to SAP BIExecute and support system, performance, integration, user acceptance and regression testingDefine and deliver solutions to complex business problems that are consistent with overall development goals of the organizationDevelop design documents and functional and technical documentation
Experience: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or business related fieldMinimum 5 years IT development experience required4+ years of "hands-on" experience with SAP BW 3.5 or BW 7.0 - ideally in high volume transaction or database environment (millions of records)At least 2 SAP BW full lifecycle implementations including data modeling, extractions, data staging, loadings, transformations, and reportingProficient in the SAP BW/BI features, technologies (adaptors, XI), and architecturesIn-depth understanding of the difference between operational data modeling and data warehouse data modeling as well as experience with the BW extended star schemaPrior project management (team leadership) experience is plusExperience with structured software development lifecycle and the SAP ASAP methodologyProficiency in the areas of data modeling, extractions/transformations, requirements gathering, report development, queries and end user deliveryExperience (recent) with developing BEx and REx Web solutionsUnderstanding of SAP functional and data concepts in MM, SD, FICO, COPA, FSCM and CRMFamiliarity with web development tools such as JavaScript, Java, XML, HTML, etc. is preferredExperience with Business Objects is highly desiredExperience with MS and SQL Server environment is plusStrong customer service skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and managementCan effectively analyze information and determine alternative resolution strategiesFamiliarity with SAP NetWeaver technologiesAble to identity and obtain support from others to gain consensus and resolutionsAble to analyze alternatives, risks, and benefits to reach a decision or resolution of a problemStrong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skins requiredStrong written and oral communication skillsThe SAP BI Analyst will work closely with the business departments and the SAP team to develop a cohesive BI and BW strategy and processes. This requires working closely with other groups to improve business processes, implement reporting and analytical systems, and develop KPI's for measuring business performance.
