We are seeking experienced Project Managers to run portions of a large implementation effort for one of our clients. Each position is currently planned to be a 4 to 6 month contract but will vary based upon the client’s specific needs. The successful candidates will have strong business background as well as experience in project management.  The candidate needs experience managing efforts that involve IT and/or software application implementation and the roll-out and/or modification of the associated business process changes. This role will be responsible for (matrix) managing resources, budget, project scope, and schedule. Required Skills Include: * At least 2 years of project management experience effectively managing technology projects from requirements gathering to close-out phases.      • Experience with reviewing conceptual design options across projects and preparing recommendations of pros and cons for business and/or client acceptance.       • Experience conducting project meetings with team to establish and review project status and issues, coordinate plans between projects, and establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.      • Experience effectively maintaining risk mitigation process and project milestones. * At least 2 years of managerial experience in business operations.  Must have provided overall direction to teams as well as led implementation and continuous process improvement activities.* At least 2 years experience using an established project management methodology including managing standard deliverables, risks, issues and escalation.* Must have some experience/knowledge with the following:     • Financial Management     • Warehouse Management     • Transportation/Logistics     • Security and safety     • Personnel Management     • Quality Management Systems     • Expert level knowledge of standard PM tools (MS Project, Visio, MS Office Suite)* Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field preferred or 7 years comparable business experience. PMP Certification through PMI, or other College Level Project Management certification desired.* Knowledge of Lean principles is required.Depending upon candidate location, some travel may be required to get to client locations.
