Seeking an experienced Sybase DBA to provide database administration support for large scale, high volume OLTP and data warehousing systems for a large financial insititution in Chicago, IL. The candidate is expected to have extensive hands-on experience working on server installations and upgrades (ASE 12.0 and preferably 12.5.1 for Sybase), performance tuning and disk I/O optimization techniques using SAN and RAID technologies, continutity planning and replication. The candidates must also have solid working knowledge of Unix and Windows 2000 environments with excellent troubleshooting and reasoning skills.
