Salary: $90,000 - 95,000



Overview:

The SQL Server Database Administrator is responsible for the day to day operation of all databases in use at the company. This includes monitoring, archiving, development, optimization, replication, backup and restoration of these databases. The database administrator will be expected to maintain the RDBMS in a proper running state with current patches applied. The database administrator will also be expected to become a resource to the company with in depth knowledge of the data architecture and retrieval of the data.



The successful candidate must be a self-starter with an intermediate to advanced level of experience working with and designing Microsoft SQL Databases. Specifically the candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and assisting in database design and changes to include creating databases, triggers, quires and reports. Additionally the DBA will be responsible for creating and implementing security policies, conducting daily back-ups, importing/exporting data to other systems, report and client support.



Responsibilities:

- Manage and maintain all Databases in the Production environment

- Manage All Database Replication

- Assist in development of T-SQL portion of new and existing site functionality

- Optimize existing T-SQL code

- Develop and manage Database archiving processes

- Forecast growth or potential performance issues and take action

- Develop automated reports as needed

- Design and Develop OLAP and SQL Reporting Services reports

- Data mining

- Performance optimization

- Stay Organized and focused on big picture



Qualifications:

- 6+ years T-SQL

- 8+ years Microsoft SQL Server Administration

- Strong background in replication configuration and troubleshooting

- OLAP design and development skills preferred

- Experience with SQL Reporting Services preferred

- Experience with SQL Clusters preferred

- Experience with SQL 2005 and SSIS is a plus

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- Ability to build a database from scratch and tune it

- Ability to write stored procedures & triggers

- Ability to migrate data from other databases

- Ability to work within a team and communicate ideas
