Lead Application Developer in Chicago, IL
Due to our clients rapid expansion and growth, we are looking for a goal oriented individual to join Information System?s growing Application Development & Architecture Team. As a member of the IS Development team, the Application Development Lead will develop and support programs, automated processes, and other computer systems critical to enterprise applications. The preferred candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in systems design and development experience in n-tier and client/server environments. The candidate will also have team lead/management experience. Overview of Role: The primary goal of this position is to support and enhance application development efforts, and ensure the adherence to both the Software Development Lifecycle and Standards. The person in this position will work closely with development resources and key vendors to support and enhance strategic enterprise systems. S/he will be oversee the design, development, and testing of new software, and work with others to ensure a smooth implementation of changes to existing systems as well as of new applications. Responsibilities: ? Works with Director of Application Architecture and the Change Management team to define and plan release scope for assigned applications ? Owns release schedule for assigned applications. Ownership of release includes: Responsible for release definition Assist/drive the authoring of Requirement documentation Understand and manage cross-application dependencies ? Runs Code Review Sessions for application development team ? Drive the technical design of application releases ? Assists in improving the software development lifecycle process, and ensures adherence to process for all releases ? Manage/mentor development staff

Experience: Required Skills: ? Solid Experience with Object Oriented Principles ? Previous development with Microsoft .NET (at least 2 years experience) ? Experience in developing software using coding standard & patterns. ? Strong architectural understanding of applications ? Requirement gathering with business users to define release scope and technical design of the application ? Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 ? Understands and embraces a structured development process ? Bachelor or Associate Degree Desired Skills: ?
