The primary purpose of the position includes the following: Provide technical and functional support for income tax accounting and tax return process and tools. This includes system configuration, enhancements, troubleshooting and user support. Business analyst for the Tax Provisioning project responsible for working with a cross functional team to implement the recommended solution. Build and maintain a strong relationship with the companys tax community, IT technical support and the vendor help desk. Major Accountabilities: Responsible for system administration of income tax tool and coordination of income tax accounting process with Corporate Tax group for monthly book close. Business Analyst responsibilities for Tax Provisioning Project will include requirements gathering and prioritization, gap analysis, design input and evaluation, testing and process documentation. Responsible for continuously identifying areas of improvement in the process, articulating solutions and working with IT Technical and the Tax Community to implement the approved solutions. This position will work closely with IT, Financial Systems and Corporate Tax to standardize processes and maximize available technologies. Experience: Position Requirements: LEVEL OF EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or computer science. Graduate degree or significant relevant experience. Three to five years of relevant experience primarily in accounting, tax or financial systems TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Expertise of accounting and accounting system processes. Ability to communicate with both finance and IT professionals. Demonstrated experience in working with any PC-based financial systems (PeopleSoft, Lawson, JD Edwards, Great Plains, Epicor, SAP etc.). Demonstrated experience in working on multiple projects and teams concurrently. Demonstrated experience in analyzing and designing workflow processes, including recommending and implementing improvements to systems, policies and processes.
