Sr. Remedy Architect in Chicago, IL
Robert Half Technology has a downtown Chicago client seeking a senior level Remedy Architect as technical project leadership for Remedy application development and Remedy system architecture. This position will include the following: Provides system/application design engineering solutions that align with Remedy standards and satisfy businesses requirements. Works pro-actively to ensure high performance, high reliability and rapid trouble resolution of Remedy workflow System. Responsible for developing and lifecycle maintenance of service management workflows using remedy ARS System and Remedy ITSM Suite. Provides project management of remedy development lifecycle. Defines Remedy development standards and services. Build integration plans and Remedy architecture/development roadmap that identify deliverables and values to the business. Ownership and accountability for support of Remedy systems. Evaluate third-party tool solutions as required. Conduct training to educate customers and team members regarding Remedy support and development. Document all engineered solutions including ongoing maintenance requirements. Integrate and simplify Remedy solutions with Enterprise System Management tool infrastructure. Evaluate and recommend improvement measures. Experience: Technical 3+ years experience in Remedy systems development/architecture (ARS 5.x, API programming, ITSM suite custom development) or similar workflow management software. 5+ of the following: C, C++, VB, ASP, HTML, J2E, JavaScript, VBScript, Perl, XML. Solid understanding of a UNIX and Windows based operating system; shell scripting. Solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts; NFS, NIS, DNS and routing. Technical documentation of system application development functional requirements and project planning. Change Management/Change Control tools. Working understanding of SQL and relational databases. Professional: Ability to lead project initiatives across multiple engagements. Independent problem solving; self-direction. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral. Solid background in project management of system development initiatives. Education: Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Higher degree preferred.
