Take ownership and perform all moves, adds and changes within the PC environment including printers, scanners, peripherals, etc. Under direct supervision is responsible for ensuring timely process through which problems are controlled. Includes problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up steps. Is able to resolve less complex problems immediately, while more complex problems are escalated for resolution. Typically involves use of problem management database and help desk system. Escalates more complex problems to senior level. JOB DUTIES: Coordinate and perform all PC moves, adds or changes in the environment. Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures. Responsibilities: Perform hardware configuration, installs, and upgrades to existing and new setups. Coordinate with Facilities, Operations, and HR to complete new hire process in regards to technology. Train new hires on our system and policies through a new hire orientation. Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely support documentation where required, including trouble tickets. Prepare and distribute written communication to user to advise of problems or changes related to support requests. Provide off-hours support on a rotating basis. Provide weekend support when needed for large move. Track changes using HP Service Desk call tracking system. Experience: The qualified candidate will possess: Excellent customer service skills. Trouble basic network issues (i.e. IP issues, Network Cards) Knowledge of PC troubleshooting protocols and methodologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the Intel PC hardware and workstation, printer components along with Windows XP PC operating systems, Microsoft Office 2003, and HP Service Desk.
