Sirius currently has 2 full-time opportunities for Sr.-level consultants with strong skills in IBM pSeries systems/AIX operating systems, HACMP, IBM Storage and SAN. These are billable, services delivery roles that will require 50% - 75% travel.



These positions will involve providing billable services to our customers in a number of areas, including. but not limited to: hardware/software installations, implementation of specialized software (ie., HACMP and Tivoli Storage Manager), system integrations/transitions, troubleshooting customer environments, and reviewing/recommending systems designs and implementations. This position will require frequent travel (approx. 50- 75%) and some weekend work.

Experience: Knowledge & Implementation Skills Required:



Strong knowledge of AIX operating systems

Strong knowledge of the IBM pSeries platform, LPAR skills

Strong knowledge of IBM Storage Subsystems (ESS, DS4000 series, FAStT)

Strong knowledge SAN switches and director (Cisco, McData, Brocade)

Strong knowledge of HACMP and/or TSM (both preferred)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to speak with enthusiasm and confidence in order to retain customers and garner respect of staff

Excellent interpersonal skills



Knowledge & Implementation Skills a plus:

Intel knowledge

NetApp Storage experience a strong plus

SUN/Solaris

IBM SAN Volume Controller

Total Storage Productivity Center

Oracle

IBM Storage DS8000 Series



Education/Experience:

Bachelor s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

Five years technical work experience preferably in a consulting environment



Travel: Travel:
