GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPEResponsible for providing technical support for existing ERP related software. Resolves issues/problems on a timely basis. Applies training and knowledge during the installation of new software/upgrades. Responsible for the successful installation of new software/upgrades. Works with appropriate external resources to achieve desired goals. Develops new technical procedures in support of system enhancements and additions. Performs analytical functions to determine system requirements. Develops system enhancements using currently available programming tools. Actively solicits, identifies and responds to questions, issues and service opportunities. Functions as a primary contact for all incoming and assigned cases for a defined area of responsibility. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)Acquires and maintains knowledge of relevant product service offerings.Assists in the determination of work priorities in accordance with project plans, project schedules, changing work demands and company policies and practices.Contributes to an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolution activity, cross training and an absolute focus on resolving issues as quickly and effectively as possible.Installs, tests and documents all application related server software/upgrades to include all ERP and 3rd party products with a specific focus on Clarity and Clarity related tools including Clarity XOG, process engine, configuration, portlets, administration tools and Actuate reports. Programming and troubleshooting using Oracle TOAD, PL/SQL, xml, web services, SOAP, Gel Scripts.Modifies work process techniques, methods and practices to accomplish specific work assignments. Documents and informs the project team on the use of new or enhanced techniques, methods, processes and practices.Provides expert solutions to problems.Researches, responds to and accurately resolves cases, in a timely manner and in accordance with established standards. Takes ownership and responsibility for cases.Responsible for all server installed application related software (production and test environments), server configurations, bundle/patch management and database monitoring/tuning.Responsible for maintaining a "trouble free" production environment.Responsible for system backups, disaster recovery planning, implementation and testing.Leads small projects with minimal supervisionDemonstrates the ability to use time effectively and set priorities among multiple urgent tasks.Mentors other team members.JOB SPECIFICATIONSUndergraduate degree, 6 yrs. relevant work experience or equivalent combination education and relevant work experience.4 yrs. solid knowledge of relevant software development tools and languages.Ability to think "outside of the box".Ability to work in a high-pressure environment as well as "off hours".Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.Solid project management skills.Demonstrated business acumen.Demonstrated professional demeanor and customer-focused orientation.NAVTEQ is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer M/F/D/V
