Genesis10 is in need of a Java Developer on a 6 month contract basis. Client is located in the western suburbs of Chicago, IL. The Developer will develop Java programs to enable the migration of data from current component management system to the replacement system. Other Java-based programming tasks will also be assigned covering areas including data validation, data archiving, report creation and system interfaces. Most of these programs will be command-line driven, batch oriented.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- Advanced Java programming.
- Java POI class to work with Excel files.
- XML
- XSL
- Oracle database SQL
- UNIX-based development environment and tools such as awk, sed, tr, cut, paste for bulk manipulation of datasets.
- Experience with the i2 component management software and/or Enovia/MatrixOne is a plus.
- Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent Communication (written & verbal).
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills a must.
