We have an immediate need for a Senior Enterprise Monitoring Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Midwest branch of CDI is looking for an Enterprise Monitoring Guru for a long-term and possibly permanent opportunity with one of our clients. The person will be supporting large-scale systems, applications, service and business activity monitoring solutions.

The Sr. Enterprise Monitoring Engineer is responsible for implementing and administering monitoring solutions for client-facing system software. Duties include installation and configuration of monitoring tools; designing and implementing multiple monitoring consoles; and managing the entire production monitoring system companywide. Will also participate in formulating monitoring strategy improvements.
This technical position collaborates with other team members while consulting with stakeholders in various internal technical and business groups, to meet their requirements for monitoring solutions.

Skills: Strong technical background and aptitude working with, supporting and implementing technology solutions to support monitoring of production systems.

Understanding of how monitoring works in the UNIX, INTEL and Mainframe environments is very beneficial to this position.

Oracle Enterprise Manager/Grid Control (experience would be a major plus)
Oracle BAM

Experience -

Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience

Requires 3-4 years of monitoring experience
Overall, 6-8 yrs. of IT experience.

ITIL Certification a plus
