We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education or background in SAN administration and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional leadership and analytical skills, and you must have a roll up your sleeves attitude.Required Skills*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.* Proven interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadership skills* 3 to 5 years of IT work experience with at least 2 years as a SAN Administrator* Hitachi SAN Admin experience A MUST HAVE!* Cisco MDS 95xx series San switch expertise* SUN, Linux, Windows 2000/2003 server admin experience* Knowledge of VMware and Solaris Zones* Expertise with SAN Administration Tools * Enterprise backup experience, Netbackup, Commvault Galaxy* Experience with Veritas Volume Manager, Solaris Volume Manager, Oracle RMAN* Experience with large high transactional RDBMS environments* Solid understanding of SCSI, Fibre Channel, SAN, NAS, RAID and I/O Storage Sub-Systems* Working knowledge of LAN/WAN infrastructures* Proven ability to maintain leading edge skills Required Experience* Hitachi SAN Admin experience A MUST HAVE!* Efficient and reliable storage allocation and define backup, recovery, archival procedures* Develops and implements business continuity practices for storage management* Installs, configures, tests and implements storage management software and hardware* Monitors use and availability of storage resources* Maintains and modifies backup and recovery procedures to meet high availability and mission critical business needs* Troubleshoots storage related issues and takes appropriate actions* Generates reports and analysis on storage usage* Maintains storage configurations to provide capacity planning and performance monitoring/tuning of systems* Benchmarks, evaluates and makes recommendations for the selection of storage management software and hardware products* Possesses skills and knowledge related to network, operating systems, Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS) and tape backup solutionsIn return, Client offers a business casual, entrepreneurial work environment with strong growth potential; a competitive compensation package; along with a complete benefits package including medical/dental/vision/life insurance; education assistance; 401(k) with company match and much more!
