Provide a Intel VIRTUALIZATION consultant resource to client for a period of twelve (12) months.
The consultant will assist client team in designing, deploying, and managing VIRTUALIZATION Infrastructure.
The consultant will take project, task, and day-to-day direction from the client's project manager. The consultant will be capable of performing the following tasks (but not limited to) as a member of team:
PHYSICAL to VIRTUAL SERVER MIGRATION as required
VCB Configuration, Design and Implementation
Develop a more robust backup and restore solution using VCB. Activities will include making design recommendations, third party tool recommendations, installing the upgraded platform, testing the solution and assisting in deployment of the solution
Develop a more robust security environments. Components of this design and recommendation will include (but not limited to) Active Directory authentication, permissioning recommendations, auditing considerations, hardening guide, Virtual Center access, ESX host access
Assist in design of following: MOB platform buildout, capacity planning, additional operations procedures. Test new procedures and processes as required
Update and/or add templates as needed.
Build out VM"s when necessary
Assist in the development of a standardized physical to virtual migration procedure. Test new procedures and implement in production
Create documentation in support of VM environment when needed
Assist in the design, configuration, testing and implementation of resource pools in the VM environment
Meet with team project on to review milestones achieved and the deliverables associated with those milestones,.
The migrations for Virtualization may be done at night and on the weekends.
Assist in the design, development, installation and testing of a disaster recovery solution for the virtual environment.
Experience: 10 + years in Infrastructure. Proper Certifications.
