Required Skills The Storage Consultant should be an excellent communicator and has the desire to interface with different types of end user clients in an array of industries. This person will be self motivated with a proven track record of working well independently at customer sites with minimal supervision as well as have proven team leadership skills. In addition the consultant should possess the following: Hands on experience working and supporting enterprise, Fortune 1000 customers in the design, implementation and support of storage solutions. Previous experience as a storage administrator or Unix system admin role Hands on experience with Hitachi Enterprise Storage arrays such as: USP USP-V Experience with storage virtualization and externalization products from HDS Experience in performing data migrations utilizing HDS tools Experience with at least one major operating system: Unix Solaris Windows Excellent verbal and written communications skills with strong abilities to write project deliverables, status reports, implementation plans, management escalation documentation and service planning information Able to effectively provide knowledge transfer to customers Preferred Skills Experience in customer-facing roles OR experience working in a large environment that has required delivery of internal projects with cross functional teams.
