Duties: Database design Project Management - manage technical projects in database group including database design, creation and maintenance. Provide research on new technology and be an innovator for the group. Performance Tuning - monitoring the server and making configuration changes. Capacity Planning - includes backup and recovery procedures Lead - lead research, planning and implementations of new database installs, upgrades and patches. 24/7 production support Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related engineering discipline or equivalent experience required 7+ years of IT experience including database design and implementation in a large scale Terabyte environment Advanced knowledge of database concepts, performance tuning and monitoring Experience with high availability, standby, backup and recovery, re-indexing, database management and partitioning Excellent communication skills.
