Modis is currently seeking a Java Developer for an exciting full time/permanent opportunity with our client in the downtown Chicago area. JOB DESCRIPTION The Java Developer will be working in a team environment on the full lifecycle development of information security software applications. Primary responsibilities will include the design, development, testing and implementation of Object-oriented applications using Java, C/C++, Python/Ruby, Adobe Flex, Spring/Hibernate Framework and SOAP Webservices. Candidates must have good experience working with Oracle/SQL Databases in a UNIX environment. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/TECHNICAL SKILLS - Minimum Bachelors Degree with 3-5 years experience in the IT Industry - Demonstrated experience working on full lifecycle software development projects - Strong experience with Object Oriented Programming with Java, C++, Flex - Strong experience with RDBMS including Oracle, SQL and PostgreSQL - Proficient in developing SOAP and XML-RPC Web Services The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of cutting edge information and network security technologies including SSL Digital Certificates, Identity/Access management solutions and Content Management solutions ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/HOW TO APPLY This is a Permanent/Full Time position.
