One of SGA's Major Financial Clients is seeking an Applications Developer for a Contract position in Chicago, Illinois. Candidate will support customer pricing activities for Treasury Services, as well as download data from existing source systems and convert to SAS files. Candidate will document data elements and files and track down reference tables where necessary, as well as perform data transformations and joins to create necessary data views.Seeking an Applications Developer that will adapt existing SAS code and create new code for price modeling in accordance with the requirements, as well as determine which quality assurance functions are required for an analysis, system, or data source, such as reconciling data to financial reports and testing systems and processes. Candidate will follow protocols for file transfers diligently, as well as require some work outside normal business hours to meet file turnaround deadlines. Seeking an Applications Developer that will act to improve work process through streamlining and automation, as well as exhibit a positive, enthusiastic, and collaborative attitude. Candidate must present results, and creative problem solving. It is imperative that this candidate possess strong attention to detail



Required Skills:


Minimum of 5 years programming in SAS base, 3 years with SAS macros.

Proven analytical skills. Evidence of working with data, including large and complex data sets, synthesizing information, .

Experience with MS Access and SQL server(SQL 2005 or Sql Server Management Studio (SSMS)).

Ability to extract and join information from multiple sources using a variety of tools.

Able to execute many analyses in either SAS or Access

Detailed experience with MS Excel.

Experience in documenting code and processes.

Ability to collaborate with others as a team member.

Work with minimal supervision. Show initiative and proactively expand role.

Demonstrate ability to learn new skills.

Experience with query and reporting tools such as Business Objects preferable.

Experience with large files (1MM records).
