DATABASE/SQL DEVELOPER

Employment Type: 6 month contract

Job Description/Responsibilities:
Design and build the integrated database solution to meet customers functional requirements and technical specifications. This may involve developing interfaces with other applications, creating custom fields and stored procedures,
Provide knowledge transfer on the product to other developers and the client.
Perform proofs of concept to help validate the value of the Clarity solution being proposed
Analyze and solve complex customer issues involving both data and processes

Top Skills:
Strong SQL Skills
Exposure (3-6 months minimum) to Niku Clarity applications
Willing to travel to the client site for a few days/week.

Qualifications:
4+ years experience performing enterprise application design and development
- Exposure to Clarity software
Experience with developing Portlets/Servlets
Experience in participating of Joint Analysis & Design (JAD) sessions
Strong SQL Skills and the ability to create/edit SQL Server stored procedures
Strong knowledge of databases SQL Server 2000, Oracle 8/9 a plus
Strong knowledge of Windows, Sun Solaris and HP-UX, and Linux operating systems, including the ability to create / modify batch files and shell scripts.
Development / scripting experience with Java, PERL, HTML, XML, and GEL.
Knowledge of general networking and security procedures, performance testing and optimization.
Live near a major airport and be willing to travel between 75 to 100%
