Minimum education required: Bachelors? Degree preferred

Minimum work experience required:
5+ years experience in technology operations comparable to the Aon infrastructure in size and complexity
Knowledge of Aon?s IT infrastructure and applications
Broad technical experience apparent through the demonstration of technology skills of increasing responsibility in two or more of the in scope technical areas
Experience in crisis management, quality management, process improvement, lifecycle management, technology change management and escalation management
Experience in vendor and contract management

Description of duties & responsibilities:
Oversees the delivery of outsourced infrastructure services in accordance with contract terms and service level agreements
Manages the introduction of new services or technologies into the environment
Verifies and accepts products and services from the service provider
Approves the introduction and/or integration of new products into the operational environment
Identifies DR requirements for assigned technology towers
Monitors service provider performance against the service level agreements
Facilitates the resolution of endemic or major service issues
Assists root cause analysis and/or reviews results of root cause analysis
Coordinates with other Aon IT groups regarding service delivery
Approves and participates in the problem escalation process
Oversees daily performance of IT infrastructure service areas including voice and data networks, servers, data center, desktops and help desk
Coordinates with internal staff and service provider personnel, while promoting a culture consistent with the desired future state of IT
Effectively develops 360-degree relationships with the service delivery team, the service provider and other Aon IT constituencies to ensure effective delivery of infrastructure technology services
Contributes a technical perspective to project portfolio planning and the change management process
Coordinates business continuity and disaster recovery plans in partnership with the Business Unit Integration team, Risk Management and the service provider
Maintains an IT metrics ?dashboard? for the assigned technology towers
