SAN Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the IT network and systems infrastructure along with fulfilling the role of the technology escalation partner for the IT Department. The SAN Engineer will be responsible for administering and troubleshooting of computer and telephone related issues escalated from the IT Service Desk and IT management. The SAN Engineer will be responsible for insuring a 99.9% network, server, and OS up time (excluding planned maintenance outages). The SAN Engineer must have core competency in IT engineering skills matching: the organization's current IT infrastructure, strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent customer service skills and organization skills as well as good project management skills. Local candidates are preferred and candidates must be available to work overtime and after normal business hours.

Responsibilities:

SAN Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance, moves adds and changes, capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, change management and release management for the Storage Area Network (EMC Clariion CX series), IBM blade server and VMWare Infrastructure.

Assist Systems Engineer with administering the Exchange 2003 and Avaya voice mail systems, Active Directory Infrastructure, network routers, switches, firewall and VPN

Assist Systems Engineer with administering resolution of all network, communication and security issues

Assist Systems Engineer with administering engineering and configuration of the Association Memberships Systems.

Fulfill engineering responsibilities for administration of the MS SharePoint Portal system.

Assist the Web Services & Applications Development departments with server builds, backups, network connectivity.<br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: Basic Active Directory, Basic Vmware, Intermediate SAN Storage Area Network, Basic MS Exchange Server skills are required.
