Experience: Scripting: Perl, must have at least intermediate skill-level (candidate will minimally have written dozens of production scripts that are 50+ lines). Unix shell scripting, must have at least intermediate skill-level with 2 or more shell environments (bash, sh), must be intimately familiar with regular expressions and standard Unix text processing utilities (sed, grep, and awk). Database, must have intermediate skill-level writing SQL queries and ability to design and implement databases using SQL Server and/or mySQL. Visual Basic, experience with VB development strongly preferred. Securities Trading: Must have basic knowledge of options pricing theory. FIX protocol familiarity a significant plus. Experience working with real-time market data (SIAC, OPRA, 3rd party vendors) a plus. Software Testing: Experience with software quality assurance testing strongly desired.
