One of our clients in the downtown Chicago area is currently seeking a highly driven, professional individual for the position of Report Analyst. This position will work closely with business analysts to gather reporting requirements and work with Report Developers to implement these requirements. This position reports to the Manager of Information Delivery.


Responsibilities:

Work with internal IT resources to deliver reporting services in a timely and cost effective manner.
Analyze, capture and refine information, data and integration requirements for projects.
Develop report templates and reports, and partner with key business resources in the development and deployment of business intelligence solutions.
Contribute to the development of overall enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and manage the portfolio of database systems.
Support existing database systems and dependencies between them.
Provides consultation to application support teams on knowledge of the architectural design of systems and data content.
Assist as Train-the-trainer in training permanent staff members on developing interfaces and reports.
Support the development and deployment of IT governance practices, as they relate to corporate reporting.
Experience: Experience / Education:
Degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent work experience.
5+ years experience in the information technology field.
3+ years experience with data architecture including ODS, Data Warehousing, or Business Intelligence.
3+ years hands-on experience with self-service reporting tools such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Cognos, Brio, etc. Knowledge of data warehousing solutions is a plus.
Five to ten years experience in a business analysis / project management role.
Demonstrated strong communication skills at multiple levels of the organization, including the ability to communicate technical information to business users.
Demonstrated ability to interact with project managers, business analysts, developers, and operational DBA's. Must be self-motivated.
Demonstrated ability to communicate, understand our businesses, work across business units, be a team player and enjoy working in a team oriented environment.
Demonstrated solid technical knowledge of relational database management systems and strong SQL skills in general.
