SkilGroup, Inc is in search of a VB6 Developer. Our client uses Microsoft on both the PC (Windows XP) and server platforms (a mix of Windows Server versions). We are in need of a Developer to program VB 6. Any experience with VB.NET, ASP.NET, and SQL Server is a plus. The following skills are highly desired: C++, VB6, COBOL, Actuate, Access, FTP, EDI (GEIS), Cyclone, AS2, XML, and X12. We are in need of some with strong technical skills to work with applications for the first time to analyze, diagnose, and fix defects. Candidates must have strong analytical and communications skills to work with business users to provide business definitions for defects and other requirements to drive the technical solutions. Responsibilities include: provide deliverables quickly in response to business- or client-critical needs; be equally comfortable and effective working with technical and non-technical people; be self-motivated and work effectively with minimal direction and supervision; and as assigned, research and document existing IT and business processes. This is a 3-6 month contract for a client in the near north Chicago suburbs. LOCAL candidates only, please.
