We are currently seeking Solution Architects in the Chicago, IL area.

The Professional Services Division at Blackbaud has recently introduced the New Initiatives Practice which is focused on building our services and branding new products and offerings. There are four key sub-practice areas within the New Initiatives Practice: Internet Services, Direct Marketing, Business Intelligence, and our Cultural vertical.

Experience:


  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

  • Experience leading $1M+ systems integration projects

  • Familiar with Use Case Analysis, UML diagramming, Object Oriented Design and Analysis, .Net 2.0, VB.NET or C#, SSIS and SQL Server 2005

  • Experience in full life cycle software development using an iterative development approach

  • Familiar with the concepts, value, and approaches of Business Intelligence, EAI, Workflow

  • Experience with automated testing for both functionality and performance

  • Familiar with usability design principles

  • Familiar with web services, WSDL, Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), XML, XSD

  • Experience with designing of applications for deployment in a WAN environment utilizing web services

  • Experience estimating and sizing development efforts

  • MCSD Preferred
