Network Administrator / Chicago Loop

Dynamic Company, located in the Chicago Loop, is currently seeking a Network Administrator to oversee and manage its network and server environment. This position offers excellent opportunities for learning and career advancement to the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrate an understanding of technology and ability to support network, server, desktops, and business applications. Individuals must be able to identify issues and be able to effectively apply technology to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Individual will be responding to end user and business leader requests and must provide timely and responsive services and work products. For new business needs, individual must be able to research products and perform vendor management

Skills:
Thoroughly and accurately analyze information in a systemic fashion.
Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans for new applications or technology upgrades.
Experience with vendor management for implementing new services or products and troubleshooting vendor issues.
Expertise and experience in designing, implementing, maintaining, and documenting network infrastructures. Technologies include:
Network: Cisco and/or Sonicwall switches, routers, and firewalls and support of branch offices connected via point-to-point connections
Phone: Avaya PBX and Avaya VoIP Gateway
Servers: Windows 2003/2000/NT, Terminal Services, and Symantec Anti-virus using HP hardware
Directory & Email: Active Directory and Exchange 2003
Databases: Microsoft SQL and Lotus Notes
Backup: Veritias BackupExec
Desktop: Microsoft XP, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook
Experience with Disaster Recovery


Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must have:

- BS / Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent

- Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills

- MCSE and/or CCNA is a plus

- Proactive desire to continue to broaden and deepen technical skills

- Ability to lift and install rack based equipment
