Great opportunity for a direct position for a Sr. AutoCAD Drafter with a large engineering, consulting, and construction firm in Chicago, IL.

This Sr. AutoCAD Drafter will draft redlines, provide design assistance and managing CAD coordination on projects specific to CAD skills and capabilities.

Will assist designers and engineers in calculations by creating floor-plan, one-line diagrams and panel scheduled drawings in AutoCAD from redlined drawings.

Will create schematic and equipment schedules.

Must be proficient in converting architectural backgrounds into company backgrounds, and proficient in the latest National CAD standards.

Must have the ability to read floor plans, sections and elevations, draw sections with no direction, and available to work overtime to meet project deadlines.

Experience in electronic file transfer required.

Must be familiar with one of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades along with a minimum of five years relevant experience using the current versions of AutoCAD.

Must have completed an advanced computer and CAD course beyond trade school or have equivalent formal training.
