Find out more at [link removed] are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient software engineer to work on a sophisticated product that handles millions of transactions, requires close interaction with all major search engines (Google, Yahoo, msn, Ask), and which will require developing knowledge of Search Marketing techniques and search marketing data analysis. Candidates should have experience (or a genuine interest in learning) Agile development practices (Iterative development, Pair programming, daily standing meetings, story cards, story points, etc). As a member of the team you will develop new features for our software in an AGILE (Scrum and XP) environment, using technologies such as Linux/Tomcat/MySQL/Spring/Hibernate. Knowledge of data warehousing / star schemas / ETL (extract, transform, load), and shell scripting a plus. Major Job Responsibilities / Accountabilities: · Develop and test web-based applications according to technical specifications and designs. · Follow and encourage development best practices. · Develop knowledge of Search Engine Marketing (SEM) principles and techniques. · BS in Computer Science or equivalent level of experience · Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), familiarity with Agile development concepts · 2+ yrs of development experience, primarily with Java, JEE. Experience should include Java Servlets, JSP, JDBC, MVC frameworks. · Experience with SQL, MySQL a plus. · 1+ yrs experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS · Familiarity with source control using Subversion · Familiarity with IDE tools such as Eclipse and IntelliJ · Exposure to Hibernate, Webwork, Struts 2.0, AOP, AJAX, Ant and Maven, and Agile development methodology a plus. · Shell scripting, Perl Development and Linux Admin a plus. · Must possess effective interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment. · Good organizational and time-management skills.
