Job Description:
We are looking for candidates having o
ver 6 years of BI and reporting and Dashboarding
experience
s Business Intelligence Reporting
projects using Cognos 8 BI Suite
specifically with Cognos 8.2
and 8.3.



Job
Responsibilities


Implement and install various Cognos 8 products

Look into server issues (log files), if required
High level designing of the reports and implementation
Work with Administration tasks in Cognos connection
Manage Cognos Groups and Roles to implement security
Create datasource connections from FM or Cognos Connection
Package deployment across various server
Plan and Integrate cognos tools with other web applications through SDK


Job Requirement:
The candidate must have experience in the following areas:


Should have worked extensively with Cognos 8 version BI suite

Should have good knowledge if Cognos 8 version BI suite Architecture
Should have worked on cognos tools installation and Up-gradation
Good Administration knowledge and skills using Cognos Access Manager
Have good analytical and development skills with advanced formatting techniques
Should have worked extensively with Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis studio etc.
Should be able to implement features like Drill Through reporting, Scheduling and Report Bursting
Should have good SDK coding skills
Should be able to migrate report and packages across cognos servers
Knowledge of FM functionalities (like importing tables, create joins, filters, security, datasource connection, publishing etc
Worked with implementing various dashboard features
Knowledge of working with Cognos 8 maps would be preferable
Worked with Cognos Power Play Transformer, cubes building and scheduling and other Series 7 tools
Should have good implementation and debugging skills with DB2 datasources
