Project Manager - This individual will be a Project Manager based out of a growing Chicago office. This individual will be involved in multiple cross departmental projects simultaneously. He/ she will act as liaison between internal business, technology teams and support teams. He/she will assist in managing the needs of the project stakeholders, including customers (internal & external) and end users. Analyze and interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. Document requirements / recommendations related to proposed solution Develop functional specifications Assist in development and execution of system implementation project plans Good grasp of business & technical trends in this sector (back-office technology, risk system functionality, mid to back office routing concepts, trading, clearing & settlement life-cycle) Exposure to areas of application programming, and system design Knowledge of basic telecommunications networking principles. Manages resources in accordance with project schedule, enforce deadlines. Communicates and applies project standards. Communicates needed changes to development or operations team. Strong analytical and product management skills required Challenge & drive business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans Conducts effective project progress evaluations. Capture requirements using: interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Use skills to deliver the following : Functional requirements / Business Requirements Document, Use Cases, Implementation Project Plans Critically evaluate info from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs Assist in facilitating team and client meetings. Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management framework. Interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Minimum of 3+ years project management experience; Independent, motivated, self-starter who enjoys a high-energy, high expectations, results-oriented environment; Good interpersonal skills and the ability to manage both up and down the clients organization Requirements Proficiency with MS office: Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and Excel Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks in short time frames Bachelors degree Desirable skills/attributes Strong understanding of Futures & Equities sector, SQL, Technical exposure M.S. a plus in information systems, computer science or engineering ABILITY TO TRAVEL REQUIRED.
