MUST have knowledge of the Web publishing business to be considered. Our large Media Services Client currently seeks a SENIOR MANAGER OF WEB PUBLISHINGfor DIRECT-HIRE. The Senior Manager is responsible for the technical development and maintenance of all online media products. Will support sales, marketing, finance, editorial and operations to deliver interactive media products and services to the customers and consumers.The position reports to the Director of Media Production and Services. Responsibilities: · Manage a team of 15-20 developers, testing, designers and other technical professionals· Analyze business requirements, translate product specifications and develop required technology· Develop and deploy quality products that are thoroughly tested· Provide systems maintenance, end-user support for all installed systems· Manage internal customer service expectations through the use of SLAs· Develop an annual plan for all installed products and customers supported· Develop standards for managing the product portfolio that address data and performance issues· Develop and maintain polices and guidelines for managing the portfolio· Maintain a technology architecture· Manage the budget for the department· Participate in the prioritization and definition of business objectives.· Educate all stakeholders in the functionality and benefits of the Clients products and services.· Responsible for technical competitive analysis.· Must be able to demonstrate strong leadership in managing priorities across multiple business areas and development efforts.· Responsible for recruiting new development staff and performing performance reviews Job RequirementsQualifications, Education and Experience: · BS or a MS in Computer Sciences or related technology discipline· MBA preferred· MUST have knowledge of the Web publishing business to be considered.· Experience in Agile and Object Oriented development· 10 -15 years of technology development · 5-10 years of experience developing internet based products
