Title: Data Integration Manager Location: Chicago Salary: 125k - 135k SUMMARY: The primary role of the Manager for Data Integration Team is to analyze, design, develop and advise on best practices for the implementation of an integrated Data transport architecture for the Company domain. Data transfer involves both Real Time messaging, and bulk file transfers to support a variety of operational data integration requirements. The Integration Manager will also assist Head of Data Management with technology strategy to include: Review and analysis of business strategy; technology initiatives within the strategy; allocation of resources to produce optimal outcomes with respect to time-to-market, quality and cost of business product. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in evaluation of existing data distribution patterns Assist in evaluation of suitable technical tools required for structured messaging and bulk data transfer to support operational data integration requirements Present and share with team members extensive knowledge of the messaging function in the financial industry including recognized patterns for data management, guaranteed delivery, supportability Set and execute vision for an optimal portfolio of data distributions and transport capabilities Define, advise, and assist teams in following best practice principals regarding data distribution and the defined toolsets. Effectively communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Experience with Broker Dealer/FCM Industry Technology Issues Real/near time data integration experience. Operational Data Integration experience. Strong Management skills Experience with Process Improvement and Quality Methodologies Experience with Continuous Improvement Management Familiarity with data management and transport technologies to support high volume low latency methodologies. Experience with Release Management; Software Development and Quality Assurance issues in critical transversal services to insure the scalability and integrity of the data delivered. Diverse knowledge of the data services required in a Broker Dealer/FCM environment. Knowledge of ITIL: Service and Release Management Experience with Technology Production Services/Operations in dynamic, time-critical environments across multiple time-zones Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Projects Technically competent with various messaging and software programs, such as TIBCO, Java, and FIXML. Database experience with Oracle and SQL Server Organizational & Skills Development experience Management of Application Development, Infrastructure, Systems Support and Technology Program Management functions Organizational Design and Recruitment experience Career Development and Performance Management experience Reacts to project/priority adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently. Communication and interpersonal relations Consensus Building Proven success designing and implementing technology solutions supporting transversal data flows within a large FCM/Dealer Broker, Exchange or Financial Institution. Extensive knowledge of software development life cycle and accepted practices. 7 Years of technical experience with 3 years in leadership capacity EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Engineering or Computer Sciences.
