Prestigious company located in Chicago's Loop is currently seeking a Windows Engineer. SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR Responsibilities - Implement new systems and storage technologies. - Work with other groups to identify and resolve performance issues. - Implement new methods to improve system and application performance. - Monitor system/infrastructure performance and work to prevent potential problems. - Evaluate and implement software and OS upgrades on infrastructure systems. - Collect, analyze, and present meaningful system metrics. - Design, implement, and maintain data backup and redundancy. - Create and maintain tools to manage and maintain 300 systems Experience in any of the following areas in order of importance (candidates with most breadth will be preferred): - Microsoft Windows 2003 or better, Active Directory, DHCP/DNS (2008 experience will differentiate the candidate) - Microsoft Exchange 2007 in a multi-server mulit-site organization utilizing data repTiation - SQL Server administration IIS - E-mail filtering (spam, anti-virus), Web traffic filtering and blocking - Network Monitoring/Alterting software, Microsoft System Center Operations Manager preferred - NAS and SAN Storage (NetApp preferred), data backup and replication - Data Encryption, PGP preferred - Desktop Imaging, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager preferred - LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP/Python) - Macintosh - Linux Desktop, CentOS preferred - Blade PC or Desktop Virtualization Technologies The following qualifications will further differentiate candidates: - Electronic Trading or Financial Industry experience - Audit Experience (performing self-audits as well as responding to third-party audits) - Compliance Archiving of E-mail, Instant Messages and files. - Server Virtualization (VMWare or Xen) - Multi-site, geographically dispersed networks - Disaster recovery planning and facilities - Consolidated Logging technologies - VOIP (Cisco Preferred), IM and Video Conferencing - Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Snort preferred To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
