Modis is currently seeking a qualified Senior Security Engineer for an exciting contract opportunity with our client in the Chicago, IL area.This project is expected to start within the next 2 weeks and last for an initial duration of 12 months. There is a very high likelihood of contract extension on this project - candidates with the flexibility to be extended on contract or to be converted as a full time employee are highly preferred.PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Senior Security Engineer will be responsible for managing and leading end-to-end network security implementations for enterprise customers in the Chicago area.Day to day responsibilities will include designing the security infrastructure and serving as the lead engineer in the implementation phase. In addition, the Security Engineer will be responsible for taking a lead role in the lab configuration and testing phases to ensure proper configurations for end customers. During the final implementation phase, the Security Engineer will be responsible for security configurations, documentation and on-going technical support at a Tier 4 level. Candidates must have strong experience in the design and implementation of enterprise-scale Cisco PIX and Juniper Netscreen SSG/ISG Firewalls along with related Intrusion Detection/Prevention technologies.Cisco Security and CISSP Certifications are highly desired.
