Manager Logistics and Supply Chain Solutions in Chicago, IL
Job duties to include the following, but not limited to: Business development support: o Drive and oversee Supply Chain Management (SCM) related sales processes with respective functional responsible for A-Segment, Global Target and Global Accounts,o Lead SCM-related tenders and support Tender Management team with expert-input where required, o Consult customers and internal stakeholders reg. Logistics- and SCM-related inquiries,o Engage in Supply Chain Design and Optimization projects,o Support local Business Unit and Warehouse Manager for local Warehouse and Distribution pricing and proposal creation (B- and C-level customers),o Engage and work with Corporate Supply Chain Management team as well as with regional SCM clusters. Process and product engineering: o Oversee development and deployment of Logistics, Warehouse and Supply Chain Management processes.o Implement and optimize Supply Chain Management processes.o Define, monitor and benchmark Logistics and Supply Chain management Key Performance Indicator systems. Supply Chain Management IT Systems: o Oversee functional development initiatives for systems (business-driven).o Define business and functional requirements for configuration handover to in-house IT Department.o Oversee overall project and implementation process, initiate corrective actions where needed,o Integrate IT project in overall customer project and ensure that all project components are duly and diligently implemented. Business engineering and implementation: o Responsibility for new Logistics and Supply Chain Management account implementation.o Design and optimize physical and information exchange processes.o Design and optimize Warehouse facilities, workflows and storage areas.o Define and optimize productivity and efficiency parameters.o Oversee physical retrofitting of Warehouse modifications. Knowledge of and compliance with Client ?s, Logistics and Supply Chain Management processes and systems, IT and market developments. Knowledge of and compliance with corporate and department policies and procedures. Full awareness of external and internal customers requirements and strive to exceed their expectations. Constant improvement of existing procedures and working environment to advance the service level to the customer and the internal organization, profitability of the corporation and well being of fellow staff members. General communication standards: Answer phone calls after the second ring, messages to be attended to immediately, Answer e-mail inquiries the same day. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of: Organizational structure, Operational procedures, Industry market trends and dynamics, Client ?s and external software and SCM IT applications. The following skills and requirements are required for the job holder: Higher educational degree in Supply Chain Management, Process Engineering and related relevant work experience. In-depth knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain Management on operational, tactical and strategic level especially in manufacturing and industrial environments. In-depth knowledge of process engineering and optimization. Highly analytical with in-depth understanding of business, IT and process requirements. Management experience. In-depth and proven Project Management and Implementation skills. Willingness for extensive business traveling ( 50%). Able to work under pressure, independently and self-motivated. Decision maker and driven by result. Communication and interpersonal skills. Teamplayer and teambuilder.
