TITLE: #10905 Compliance Associate LOCATION: CHICAGO , IL Loop SALARY: $55,000 to $70,000 SHORT SCOOP: Compliance Associate Needed, Previous experience required with registered investment adviser, registered investment company and/or broker-dealer and/or bank. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Compliance Associate is primarily responsible for assisting with: the preparation of shareholder reports for our client; administration of the company code of ethics; the monitoring of subadvisers' compliance with fund policies and guidelines; review of advertising material; and various filings, registrations and other matters. Prior experience in a compliance function with a registered investment adviser, mutual fund and/or broker dealer is required. Candidate must have a positive, up-beat, team-oriented personality. * Compliance * Administer our client's code of Ethics * Administer our client's automated personal trade reporting system * Assist with reviewing monthly subadviser questionnaires * Shareholder Reports * Assist with preparation and proofreading of Annual/Semi-Annual Reports * Assist with preparation and proofreading of N-CSR * Assist with preparation and proofreading of N-Q * Assist with preparation of N-SAR * Advertising * Review of advertising materials * Foreign Registrations * Assist with preparation and gathering of documentation and work with custodial bank to establish trading in foreign countries for the client. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent * Three or more years of compliance experience with a registered investment adviser (preferably an adviser to mutual funds), registered investment company (mutual fund), broker-dealer and/or bank. * Commitment to helping our client maintain high ethical standards REQUIRED: * Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail * Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, "can-do" attitude * Self-starter who is capable of managing multiple diverse projects and meeting deadlines * Comfortable with technology and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Project WHEN RESPONDING TO THIS OPPORTUNITY : Resumes without the required technical skills and experience will not be considered.
