We are currently working with one of our clients on filling a QA Manager opportunity. This position opened after the departure of a QA Manager. This individual had begun migrating our client from manual to automated testing systems. Unfortunately, after 3 years this individual left the company to pursue other opportunities forcing our client to drop the entire project. We are now in search of an individual with automated testing, knowledge in Mercury Suite, and a strong QA management background. This individual will be responsible for hiring and managing the QA Leads and Analysts who will assist our client in moving in this direction. The job description that our client has provided is below.

Responsibilities:
Manages the software quality testing activities for a team of 3 in additional to QA temps and consultants. Develops quality standards and oversees the development and execution of software test plans and analysis of test results. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the quality assurance test team. Develops and administers schedules. Participates in process improvement efforts and applicable product requirements inspections. Directs the day-to-day activities of the team. Position Description Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and activities. Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products. Develops the automated testing strategy and implementation. Handle multiple projects, establish and communicate priorities. Participates in the reviewing of engineering designs to contribute quality assurance requirements and considerations. Assists product support areas in gathering and analyzing data.

Experience: Minimum Requirements 7-10 years or quality assurance or related experience and 2+ years managerial experience. Advanced knowledge of all types of software testing including performance testing, and test automation procedures. Experience in creating and implementing automated processes and procedures. Demonstrated leadership position and proven track record Attention to detail and ability to communicate direction and range of solutions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Programming experience is a plus with experience on browser based applications. Must be a strong team player and have strong management and leadership skills. Must be able to effectively communication (oral and written) and interface with all levels of management and the technical team. BS/BA in Computer Science or related field required. Additional management courses a plus. Education 4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience Certifications Industry test certifications are desirable.
