Work closely with business and technology counterparts to understand the enterprise objectives and initiatives and their impact on the Windows architecture environment
Develop and maintain the enterprise Windows architecture strategy and associated reference architectures/blueprints (based on Microsoft platform technologies such as Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, and Virtual Server) that are aligned with the enterprise objectives and initiatives and the overall technical strategy with respect to budget, functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules and adherence to architectural goals and principles
Develop and maintain the business case and roadmap (project plan, budget, and interim architectures) that are aligned with the overall project portfolio to implement the enterprise Windows architecture strategy and architectures
Develop documents and present to communicate and build consensus with business and technology counterparts on the enterprise Windows architecture strategy, associated reference architectures/blueprints, and roadmap
Develop, maintain, and enforce common conventions, standards, and technologies across the IT landscape
Oversee the selection, design, and implementation of the appropriate Windows solutions needed to deliver the Windows architecture strategy and architectures
Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to project activities to ensure solutions are being implemented per the architectures
Provide Level 3 escalation support to project and operations activities
Provide thought leadership on Windows architecture and conduct technical research to stay abreast of trends and identify points of view and new technologies that will improve the business or technology landscapes
Lead small teams of architects and engineers in the development of the Windows architecture

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience performing Windows architecture work and experience as a Windows architect in a leadership role
Extensive experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Windows technologies including Windows 2000/2003 Server, IIS, Active Directory, Exchange, Citrix, Virtual Server, and VMWare.
Knowledge of SMS, MOM, VirtualCenter, SQL Server, and Clustering services. An understanding of network basics including LAN/WAN topology, WINS, and DNS. Familiarity of SAN and NA environments and diskless operation.
BS in Computer Science or related field required, Masters preferred
Strong business and technical acumen
Ability to translate highly complex and ambiguous problems into actionable components and lead the solutioning efforts
Experience with blueprinting and developing conceptual, logical, and technical architecture models
Excellent communication, presentation and relationship skills, especially the ability to articulate advanced technical topics and build consensus among business and technical constituents
Self-starter with excellent organization, administrative, interpersonal skills and project management

Experience developing high level plans and budgets
Experience leading and developing small teams of architects and engineers
